I met J&B back in 2014 at Starbucks (where I typically meet with most my clients because I can’t resist a peach tranquility latte)! I love meeting with my potential clients in person so we can see if our personalities mesh because with wedding photography you spend a lot of time getting to know each other throughout the whole process.
Fast forward to their engagement session (also in 2014) where we first started at Quails Gate Winery in West Kelowna to get a mixture of the beautiful Okanagan Valley view and the gorgeous lush green grape vines. J showed up with a handmade chalkboard sign for us to write on for the photos, which I adored! After the winery we headed down the road to the Gellatly Nut Farm, also in West Kelowna. Again, J surprised me. She had everything for a beautiful picnic set-up!!!
J&B decided to switch their guestbook out for invites (which I can do upon request). We did them as a cute vintage postcard theme with their ceremony venue on the front.
Now, fast forward to their wedding day. I started the day off at Plan B downtown Kelowna for the guys to get straight shaves done. This was my first time being able to capture straight shaves so that was lots of fun to experience. I then headed over to their house for the girls getting ready photos. Which included her father getting a “first look.” J gave her bridesmaids super cute necklaces made from stamps that had significant meaning behind them (and they suited the amazing vintage theme)! The ceremony took place at the Benvoulin Heritage Church in Kelowna (again suiting the vintage theme)!!! Right after the ceremony we did the family photos under a beautiful tree on the same property. Then the wedding party and I headed to Father Pandosy in Kelowna for some more photos before heading to the reception location at the Harvest Golf Course.
Thank you J&B for letting me capture these special moments for you with your loved ones
